Cocaine Found Hidden in Animal Feed and Oranges

189kgs of cocaine has been found hidden inside a shipping container of animal feed. The investigation by the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) led to the arrest of four people.

Further seizures were made from a container of oranges imported from South Africa to the Port of Felixstowe; in total, over 230kgs of cocaine have been seized.

Three men from London, aged 31, 51 and 60, have been released while investigations continue, while another man has been charged with conspiring to import class A drugs and is in custody. DCI Paul Fisher says that this investigation has effectively prevented a huge amount of the drugs from ending up on our streets.
